Tour data: 400 metres of cumulative elevation gain, 15 km and 4 hours
Difficulty: Low difficulty
An excellent trail to let your mind wander. You can start this hike directly at Hotel G’Schlössl Murtal. From here, you leisurely walk to Apfelberg via the wetlands of the Mur River. Following forestry roads and past the dog training facility, you reach Thalberghof via the main trail. After that, you follow a mountain path back to Großlobming, passing forests and meadows and taking in great views. The silence of nature and exercising gives you the opportunity to fully switch off.
Tour data: 30 metres of cumulative elevation gain, 4 km, 1 hour
Difficulty: Low difficulty (stroll)
This circular path is particularly suited for short tours and strolls. Start at Hotel G’Schlössl Murtal, follow the Lobmingbach stream towards the Church. After the Church, take a right to Hochfeldweg trail. Enjoy the unobstructed view of Zirbitzkogel mountain on your hike. Continue towards "Schweinderleck" before taking a left turn and reaching the bicycle path after crossing the main street. After that head back in the direction of Großlobming. Tip: Visit the ‘Herbal Human’ (= raised herb beds in the shape of a human being) at the Herbal Competence Centre in Großlobming!

Difficulty: Medium difficulty
This hike starts at the Altes Almhaus mountain inn. From there a well signposted trail leads in the direction of Rappoldkogel. From the summit (approx. 1,900 m) you are treated to wonderful views of the Mur Valley and once you have taken the obligatory ‘mountain-top Selfie’ you continue towards Salzstiegelhaus (serviced cabin). There, you should try one of their hearty home-style dishes and relax. Fully recuperated you head down to Altes Almhaus via the level and wide panoramic trail. Tip: Particularly worth seeing is the sunrise, in complete tranquillity and amidst the magnificent mountain panorama.
